Managed
project and service delivery for the lead partner of a four member consortium
delivering a multi-million dollar program on behalf of a Federal Government Department.
- Managed
the program through significant ongoing uncertainty due to both a change of
Government and the subsequent transformations within the Department.
- Frequent
monitoring of expenditure and reviewing of the budget in light of changing
program conditions, combined with introducing cost saving measures and close
risk management, enabled the program to be extended for five months without
further funding while achieving a lower risk profile for the lead partner.
- The
program had many dimensions, and on commencement the program was well
established. Through questioning the status quo and paying close attention to
contractual terms, identified and implemented changes needed to program delivery,
and increased focus on services that would result in improved outcomes for the
community.
- Managed
different stakeholder needs during ongoing uncertainty, including staff, other
consortium members, suppliers, the Department, and stakeholders in 1,600 organisations
throughout Australia.
- As the management of the program was transitioned to one of the consortium partners, managed the transition process for the components that would continue, and managed the close down of activities that were finishing.
